Real Strawberries

So, those real strawberries that I talked about in this post? I finally got a picture of them:

It’s just so crazy that what we’ve come to expect at the grocery store looks so different from a real strawberry. Without genetics. Without pesticides.

Another scary thing about supermarket fruit? It keeps forever. I just ate a farmer’s market peach that had been in the refridgerator for a week. What was a tasty peach one week ago (I ate several the day I bought them), had become pretty worthless. Shouldn’t it worry us that you can buy supermarket fruit and leave it sitting around for a week and it still tastes the same?
